Ahh but Night in changing the time stream is it possible that that had in fact created another reality. Perhaps that time stream with where Marty falls and marries the mother still happens in another reality.

I look at it as a "Back to the Future" scenario. What happened when Biff went back in time with that book with all the future sports scores and gave it to his younger self? It changed the time stream. What the Romulins from the future did in the movie also helped change that. Though i am open to parallel earths and changing their timeline. (HUGE sliders fan!)

I don't know Nightbreed they did make mention in the movie that it's an alternate universe that was reached through the black hole. Well they travelled back in time thus creating a new alternate reality.

Actually Rose, it's not quite a parallel universe as the events that happened to it kinda changed the timeline. My best friend was also boycotting it and he's also into the novels as well as the tv series, but once me and JD72 told him about the plot, he said he'd give it a chance.

I saw it with BA and loved it as well. My best friend has been boycotting it, because she heard they didn't honor the original series, and she literally has every episode on video, and recite each one in detail. Since I told her it was a parellel universe, she's open to it now. I'm interested to see what she thinks!
